JR Scaffolding Services Ltd

Celebrating 26 years in the business

Celebrating 26 years in the industry, JR Scaffold Services Ltd is the original division of The JR Group. We began supplying aluminium access towers for light duty works and general maintenance and have grown to become one of Scotland’s largest scaffold suppliers.

Our office and on-site management teams are comprised of dedicated, fully trained professionals, capable of high-quality specialist scaffolding design, installation, and maintenance. Using innovative scaffold access systems enables us to expertly navigate the complexities of a variety of buildings and structures.

At JR Scaffold Services, safety is our number one priority, while at the same time ensuring customer satisfaction by taking pride in the functionality and overall appearance of the finished scaffold before signing it over to our clients. Our high regard for H & S and professionalism has seen us become a member of the National Access & Scaffolding Confederation (NASC) allowing us to tender and work on some of the most high-profile scaffold projects in the country.

Securing an Ancillary License in 2008, our specialist accreditation has led us to work within asbestos affected areas providing safe support services to a diverse range of commercial buildings. We are one of a small number of scaffolding companies operating in the UK who hold an Asbestos Ancillary License and are permitted by the HSE to undertake licensed scaffolding work where asbestos is present. To see the rest of our accreditations, please find these at the bottom of the page.

System Scaffolding

Cuplok® is the main system scaffold used by our steel division at JR Scaffold Services, however we can also provide and install the latest ‘Plettac Metrix’® system. We also provide tubing and fitting scaffold either on its own or to work alongside our system scaffold, working to bespoke engineer’s design drawings. Cuplok®  is perfect for a wide range of applications and our expertise has seen us work in many high-profile sites including MoD installations, Schools, Hospitals and Government buildings. Our reputation has given us the opportunity to work alongside Historic Scotland on various properties such as Castles, Universities, Museums, Cathedrals, Churches and many other listed buildings. We also provide our services to many of the UK’s leading private and affordable house builders.

Although JR Scaffold Services are operating on large-scale projects, we will always provide to the public for much smaller jobs such as re-roofing, general maintenance, new build extensions, and many more. We offer the same level of commitment and quality of service no matter the size or scale of the project.

Light Access Division

Since 1995 our Light Access Division has grown exponentially to become one of Scotland’s largest aluminium scaffold providers. Our PASMA qualified operatives are trained to the most advanced UK standards allowing them to build a wide variation of aluminium scaffold.

Aluminium scaffold is the perfect solution for providing safe access to any working height for very light duty loading. Time saving and cost effective, Alloy scaffold is the perfect solution where heavy loading is not required for jobs such as gutter works, roof repairs, roof access, general high-level access for small stone repairs or window works and painting works.

Our division has grown to see us working on many reactive maintenance contracts where access is needed for emergency works for clients such as the MoD, Universities and Scottish Government projects, while working alongside several of the country’s leading renewable energy companies which sees us covering regions from the Scottish borders to the Highlands and Islands.
